Disaster Risk Reduction Education 防災教育
Taiwan faces many disasters, both natural, like earthquakes and typhoons, and man-made, like fires. To reduce the impact of these disasters, the Ministry of Education in Taiwan promotes Disaster Risk Reduction Education. This education does not aim to stop disasters from happening but to lessen the harm they cause. The main idea is to teach people how to reduce the damage from disasters. The goal is to help people develop proactive disaster prevention behaviors. This way, when a disaster occurs, they can minimize its impact.
台灣面臨許多災害，包括自然災害，如地震和颱風，以及人為災害，如火災。為了減少這些災害的影響，台灣教育部推動防災教育。這種教育並不是為了阻止災害發生，而是減輕其造成的傷害。其主要目的是教導人們如何減少災害帶來的損害。目標是幫助人們養成積極的防災行為，這樣在災害發生時，他們可以將影響降到最低。
Dajuang Elementary School's "Fun Harvest Adventure" in Disaster Risk Reduction Education
Dajuang Elementary School has created a special disaster risk reduction program called "Fun Harvest Adventure." This program focuses on three main areas of disaster preparedness:
1. Scientific Disaster Preparedness (S) - Sharing scientific knowledge and concepts with the general public to prepare for disasters.
2. Agri-Food Disaster Preparedness (E) - Using agricultural food resources to manage during disasters.
3. Aesthetic Disaster Recovery (A) - Helping with emotional and psychological recovery after disasters through art and beauty.
The program uses local agricultural elements like rice, dragon fruit, and guava to make learning fun and relevant. This creative approach has won Dajuang Elementary the Ministry of Education's Cooperative Advancement Award.
Additionally, Principal Lü Yan-Yi of Dajuang Elementary was honored with the "Distinguished Personnel in Promoting Disaster Education - Teaching Category" award.
In recent years, the county government has been promoting the "Disaster-Resilient School Initiative." This year, they are encouraging schools to include disaster risk reduction education in their lessons and increase interactions between schools. This allows students from different areas to learn and share disaster knowledge and skills at advanced disaster education schools.
Dajuang Elementary is leading the way in teaching students how to be prepared and stay safe during disasters.
大莊國小的「SEA遊大莊稻果樂」防災教育
大莊國小創建了一個特別的防災教育計畫，名為「SEA遊大莊稻果樂」。這個計畫專注於三個主要的防災領域：
1. 科普防災 (S) - 向大眾傳播科學知識和概念，以備災。
2. 食農防災 (E) - 利用農產品在災害期間提供資源。
3. 美學防災 (A) - 透過藝術和美學幫助災後的情感和心理復原。

此外，大莊國小的呂彥億校長獲得了「防災教育推動有功人員教學組」獎項。
近年來，縣府積極推動「防災校園建置計畫」。今年，更加鼓勵學校將防災教育融入課程中，並增加校際間的互動，讓各鄉鎮市的學生在防災進階學校交流防災知識與技能。

Our school has 12 special sites dedicated to disaster risk reduction education. These sites help students learn how to stay safe and prepared in case of emergencies. Each site focuses on different aspects of disaster education, making the learning experience diverse and engaging.
At these sites, students can participate in various activities that teach them about natural disasters, emergency response, and recovery processes. They might discover traditional farming methods and the role of fire safety. Some sites use digital tools and technology to provide interactive learning experiences, while others might use drama and plays to convey important safety messages.
There are also areas where students can relax and learn about staying calm and healthy during stressful times, as well as places that focus on the cultural and artistic aspects of recovering from disasters. By visiting these different sites, students gain a complete understanding of disaster risk reduction, making them better prepared to handle emergencies in the future.
我們學校有12個專門的防災教育場所，這些地方幫助學生學習如何在緊急情況下保持安全和做好準備。每個場所都專注於不同方面的防災教育，使學習經驗多樣且有趣。
